Ernest Nimfah Appiah
Ernest Nimfah Appiah studied at the University of Ghana
and holds a B.A. in Sociology and an M.Phil. in Population
Studies.
He joined ISSER in 1995 where he teaches and conducts
research on the social and behavioral determinants of health.
Among his publications are Female Migration, AIDS and
their Socio-Demographic Impact and Female Migration
and Child Health and Development. He has been a resource
person in many group and community programs on development
and HIV/AIDS education and advocacy.
He joined the Ghana TransNet research program in November
2002 and advises and assists the Ph.D. students in Ghana.
He is currently obtaining his Ph.D. from the London School
of Tropical Hygene.
